Chinese Democracy Linked to Sobriety

Dexter Carmichael

Former Guns and Rose’s drummer Steven Adler has finally found his sobriety. Ironically, he can thank the very reason for his drug abuse—Axl Rose.

“I listed to the new GNR album, and it really sucks,” said Adler. “I am so glad I’m not involved with it.”

Adler increased his already rampant drug use after getting kicked out of the band. It was a downward spiral that nearly killed him.

“I used every day,” remembered Adler. “I tried to forget the pain. It was tough to watch their success.”

Adler resented getting dismissed from the band for excessive drug abuse.

“What a bunch of hypocrites. I watched Duff make a snow angel in a mound of cocaine,” recalled Adler.

All that animosity disappeared, almost instantly, when he heard the first track of the new album.

“The fact that Axl worked on that for 14 years is pretty embarrassing,” reviewed Adler. “Sounds like a car accident. Literally, it sounds like a bunch of cars running into each other, and people screaming in pain.”

Adler is confident in his sobriety, and he admits he likes rainbows.

When reached for comment, Axl Rose asked if we knew where we were, and he then reminded us that we were in the jungle.
